Winners of Arts Week Science Photography Contest Capture Stunning Shots

Throughout the school year, we see many great examples of cross-disciplinary work on display in the halls of Schoolhouse. Tuesday, during Morning Meeting, Fine Arts Department Chair Julie Fisher and STEM teacher Meghen Tuttle, PhD, highlighted the beautiful results of collaboration between two academic areas — fine arts and science — when they announced the winners of this year’s Science Photography Contest.
For the fourth year, the annual Science Photography Contest invited student and faculty photographers to showcase their talents. This year, two new bonus categories were added: “Phobias” and “Architecture.” All of the submissions were on display during Arts Week and everyone in the community had the opportunity to vote for their favorites. The winners will have their work on permanent display throughout campus.

Congratulations to the following winners for their beautiful photographs.
  • Madison B. ’24 (Patterns in Nature)
  • Steve McCarty (Science in Motion)
  • Claire M. ’24 (Things with Wings)
  • Emily W. ’23 (Landlubbers)
