Students Excel in National Foreign Language Exams

Sophomore Julianne earned a Top 10 national ranking in the National  French Exam aqnd three students earned honors in the Latin Exam,  Foxcroft School's Foreign Language faculty announed Wednesday at Morning Meeting.

Joining Juliane with special honors were Maxima Cum Laude (Silver Medal) winners Joanna P '11 in Latin II and Lilly M '14 
and Magna Cum Laude (third place winner) Charlotte '12 in Latin. Top Foxcroft scorers were aloso honord. Complete results:

National French Contest (Le Grand Concours), administered by the American Association of Teachers of French, was taken by more than 100,000 students this year. Foxcroft's top scorers for 2011 are as follows:
French 1 -- Alison B '14
French II -- Juliane M '13
French III -- Miranda R '13
French V -- Gabriela M '12
Julianne also attained a national rank for scoring in the Top 10 among all French II exam-takers.

The National Latin Exam is offered under the joint sponsorship of the American Classical League and the National Junior Classical League and more than 150,000 students from all 50 states and 13 foreign countries participate.
