Send Dr. Eagen to Space!

Vote for Science Department Chair to earn an out-of-this-world trip!

Dr. Maria Eagen, Head of the Science Department, has wanted to go to space since she wrote an essay about it in third grade. That's why she got her PhD in Aerospace Engineering Sciences. She has supported satellite and rocket launch programs for both the Air Force and the Strategic Defense Initiative Organization (SDIO), even running missions from the same post at Cape Canaveral that ran several Apollo missions.  She has designed satellite constellation orbits, launch techniques, and control of the constellation via command and telemetry, and used her astrodynamics expertise to consult on the GPS constellation  -- all before becoming a teacher at Foxcroft School!
But, for a number of reasons, Dr. Eagen has never made it to space. Chaperoning a group of 20 girls to Space Camp over Foxcroft's Wintermission last month, however, reignited her dream. So she has entered the Axe Apollo Space Academy contest -- whose motto just happens to be "Leave a man. Come back a hero!"

Help Maria fulfill her dream AND demonstrate to the world that women can be heroes too by voting for her on th AXA Apollo website! Winners are based on the number of votes received online so please go to https://www2.axeapollo.com/en_US/60984/maria-eagen?image=0 and submit your vote for Maria today -- and tell your friends to do so too!
