Riders win Mid-Atlantic Interschool Horse Show

Foxcroft riders won the Varsity title and placed third among JV teams Sunday, November 12th, in the Mid-Atlantic Interschool Horse Show at Garrison Forest School, in Baltimore.

The Green Team (Varsity) scored 68 points to bring home the Surrey Bowl; and the White Team (JV) took third place among six junior varsity teams with 30 points.

For the Green, Kate '09 rode Gus and collected three first-place ribbons, one second place, one fifth place and one sixth place. She was named the Mid-Atlantic High Point Rider at the Varsity level.

Nellie ’09 and her horse, Lights Out, took one first place, three second places and two thirds to finish as the Varsity level Mid-Atlantic Reserve High Point Rider. Hannah ’07 and Hawkins finished first in Medal Class Equitation, and also took one second, a third, a fifth and two sixth places to finish finished fifth overall. The fourth member of the Varsity, Lillibet ’10 was unable to compete because her horse, Casey, fell ill.

In Junior Varsity competition, Alex ’10 took third place overall on Bluesman. Julia '-09 and Groovin’ finished with one second place, a fourth place and two fifth-place ribbons, to place sixth on the day. Townsend '07 and Louise took two third-place and three fourth-place ribbons, finishing in fourth place overall, while Tiffany ’07, on Rose, finished in fifth place.
