Rhema Crowley, Administrative Assistant and beloved member of the community, loses her battle with cancer

Rhema Crowley, a warm and caring member of the Foxcroft community since 1979, lost her battle with cancer early Friday, January 24, at her home in Hamilton, VA. She was 64. Click here to read a letter from Foxcroft's Head of School Mary Louise Leipheimer regarding her passing.
Rhema came to Foxcroft in 1979, as secretary to the College Counselor. In 1984, she moved to the Academic Office to become Registrar and Administrative Assistant to the Academic Dean.

In 1989, Rhema left Foxcroft to care for her elderly parents. When she was ready to return to work, in 1997 , there was an opening in Foxcroft’s Development Office for an Administrative Assistant.  Happy to return to the School, she worked in the Development Office until June 2003, when the position opened up for Administrative Assistant to the College Counselor and Dean of Students. In July 2006, she added administrative assistant to the Associate Head of School to her responsibilities. Rhema loved working with students and was delighted to be back in Schoolhouse doing that.

Rhema loved gardening and reading and very much enjoyed yogao and traveling on various adventures with students and with her family. She leaves behind her husband, Paul, a longtime Foxcroft security guard, a daughter, Colleen, and son-in-law, Bruce.
