How to Get into College -- Come Get the Insiders' View March 4 and April 6

Upcoming college counseling events feature seven college admission officers -- including University of California Assistant Vice Chancellor in a rare East Coast appearance

How colleges read applications and the intricacies of the admission process at selective state universities will be the focus of two upcoming events presented by the Office of College Counseling.

Both programs will be held in the Engelhard Gymnasium of Foxcroft’s Athletic/Student Center and begin at 7:30pm. College-bound students and their parents are welcome to attend the event at no charge. “I am delighted to present these exciting college programs at Foxcroft,” said Conner, who recently had an article about her “Five First-Class Colleges” approach to the vaunted “College List” accepted for publication in the National Association of College Admission Counselors’ spring magazine.

Conner has built a superb college counseling process and developed relationships with scores of admission officers across the country during her first four years at Foxcroft. She is especially excited about Zarich’s visit -- a rare East Coast appearance for the former University of Virginia Dean and current Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Berkeley.

They will also discuss the sometimes complicated process of applying to a school that is part of a large, multi-campus institutions, such as the University of California.

Another Virginia Tech dean, Assistant Director Christopher St. Jean, will participate in the March 4 panel. Ashley Browning, Director of Admission at Hollins;. Ashley Woodard, Senior Assistant Director at Longwood; Heather Miller, Assistant Director at Radford and Lindsay Tulloss, Senior Regional Representative, University of South Carolina complete that panel.
