Foxcroft won its first ever basketball title Friday, crushing Randolph-Macon Academy, 48-24, to win the Delaney Athletic Conference Division II championship.
Foxcroft, which also won the regular season title and went undefeated (8-0) against DAC Division II opponents, used a smothering defense to completely stifle its opponents. Foxcroft held the Yellow jackets to just four points in three of the four eight-minute quarters.

Leading the way for Foxcroft was DAC Division II Player of the Year Alex G. '16 with 14 points and five steals. Junior Kat F., also a first team all-DAC selection, pulled down 13 rebounds and scored nine points and point guard Pipsy S. '16, a second-team all-DAC choice, hit on four 3-point shots and finished with 12 points.

Foxcroft, which competed in the Independent Schools League (ISL) for 23 years before joining the DAC in 2008, had never before won a basketball championship in either league. Foxcroft finished 12-5 overall on the season.
