Foxcroft blitzed Tandem Friends, 16-0, in the first quarter and coasted to a 46-23 victory on Senior Day to reach the Delaney Athletic Conference final for the second year in a row.

Foxcroft will play Randolph-Macon Academy, a 45-23 winner over Quantico, for the championship at a neutral site, Wakefield School, at 4 p.m. on Friday.

Juniors Kat F. and Alex G. sparked Foxcroft's first-quarter surge, scoring 13 points between them, as the defense forced 13 Tandem turnovers in the first eight minutes.

Coach Patrick Finn went to his bench liberally after the first quarter but Foxcroft continued the rout by posting a 26-2 lead at halftime.

Alex finished with 16 points to lead all scorers while Kat had nine points and 10 rebounds despite playing only half the game.

Senior Emma R., playing her final home game, had her best game of the season with nine rebounds, five steals and two assists. Sophomore Marley B. chipped in with six points and seven rebounds in a strong showing off the bench.
