Foxcroft Hangs Tough Against Quality Team

fm
Foxcroft stepped up to the challenge of facing a difficult opponent.

Playing against Wakefield, a team that perennially makes the VISAA Division II state tournament, Foxcroft refused to fold and almost pulled off an upset.

Wakefield won the game, 32-28, but the outcome was not decided until the final minutes of play. Foxcroft (1-1) forced a number of turnovers throughout the game and also stole the ball 10 times from their opponent.

Kat F. 16 led the way for Foxcroft with a double-double, scoring 14 points and corralling 14 rebounds. Alex G. '16 chipped in with nine points and Mia M. '19 had six rebounds and hit the first 3-point shot of her high school career.

Because of exams and the Christmas break, Foxcroft will not play again until Jan. 8.
