Foxcroft Wins Season Opener

After a sluggish first half in its season opener, Foxcroft scored 21 second half points to defeat Delaney Athletic Conference opponent Randolph-Macon Academy, 35-22, in Middleburg.

Foxcroft led only, 14-13, at halftime but outscored R-MA, 11-4, in the third quarter to take control of the game.

Alex G. '16, an all-DAC first-team selection last season, scored 12 points to lead Foxcroft while Kat F. '16, an honorable mention all-DAC choice last season, grabbed 14 rebounds and had five points. Caroline M. '16, a newcomer to the team, and Acacia N. '16 and Emma R. '15 each had four points.
