Foxcroft performers shine at BSSAC Talent Show

Foxcroft Fine Arts teacher Gary Cox made the beautiful trophy and then Foxcroft students performed beautifully to keep it in Middleburg Saturday (Dec. 3) at the First Annual BSSAC Talent Show, held at Woodberry Forest School.

The talent show featured 25 students representing five schools -- Blue Ridge, Oldfields, St. Mary's,Woodberry Forest and Foxcroft. About 150 enthusiastic sspectators watched as Foxcroft mounted five acts of the 12 acts and easily outscored the competition according to the judges.

Su-Im '08 won the Vocal category with a song sung in her native Korean and Rooni '08 took first in Instrumental with a piano performance. Cameron '07 tapped her way to second in the Dance competition and placed third in Vocals. Fox Fire, a song-and-dance ensemble compsed of three freshmen,Lia, Julita and Lauren, also performed well.

Cox, an accomplished ceramics artist, donated the design and creation of the distinctive trophy for the event.
