Washington and Lee, Ohio State, Guilford, Rider, and Sewanee reps to present at the Athletic/Student Center event

Representatives from five colleges will present at a College Admissions panel Monday, September 24, at Foxcroft School. The presentation, which will be held in the School’s Athletic/Student Center, will begin at 7pm with a Q&A session to follow. All are invited to the free event.

Foxcroft’s Director of College Counseling Barbara Conner has organized a fascinating evening with Andrew Strickler, Director of Admissions at Guilford College, highlighting the program. Representatives from admission offices at Ohio State University, Washington and Lee University, Rider University, and Sewanee: The University of the South will also make presentations.
Strickler will speak about great essay writing for college applications. Forbes Mann, Assistant Director of Admissions at Sewanee, will share insights into how colleges read applications, and Fay Rappaport of Rider will discuss the role portfolios and auditions play. Washington and Lee’s Assistant Director of Admissions Robert Koch will advise students how to make the most of their campus visits, and Ohio State representative Sonja Lewandowski will address the large school experience.

The 37 members of Foxcroft’s most recent senior class received 134 acceptances and nearly $1.2 million in merit scholarships from 94 colleges and universities, including Columbia, Middlebury, Mount Holyoke, UVA, William & Mary, and the University of California at Berkeley.
