Allie '12 named junior hunter reserve champion, Foxcroft team fourth in Orange County event

Two Foxcroft teams of three riders each competed Sunday against 13 teams over a course of several natural obstacles on beautiful rolling countryside in Orange County Hunt territory. The White Team, also referred to as “The Chestnut Team,” placed fourth in the Limited Hunter Division. (See complete rosters below.)

After the team competition, 12 junior riders were chosen for a ride-off that included a flat class and an individual jumping test. Allegra, Annie, McKenzie, and Allie were included in the top 12. When all finalists had completed the test, the judges chose Champion and Reserve Champion. Foxcroft’s Allie, on Diamond, was awarded Junior Hunter Reserve Championship of the Orange County Hunt Team Event 2010.

After a fun-filled morning of riding, the Foxcroft group was treated to a beautiful tailgate presented by Virginia Canard and Miss Nelly. We celebrated Allegra and McKenzie’s birthdays with a rich chocolate truffle cake referred to as “The Bomb.” Full tummies and happy faces took our perfect horses home for a much-deserved rest.
