We are delighted that you have chosen to apply to Foxcroft! We encourage applications from girls who will bring their academic and personal best as well as an enthusiasm for involvement to the unique community life at Foxcroft. We look forward to working with you and your family to see if Foxcroft is a good match for you. To apply, follow these steps:
1. Complete our application, apply online, or let us know if you would like a printed application. You may also use the common application from The Association of Boarding Schools available at www.schools.com or from SSAT available at www.ssat.org. Send it to the Admission Office with the $50 application fee by February 15 ($150 for international students).
2. Call the Admission Office to schedule your visit to the school. A day visit lasts about three hours and includes a tour and interview -- the best time to visit is Monday, Wednesday or Friday at 9:40am -- just in time for our Morning Meeting. We also welcome a longer visit to attend classes and encourage overnight visits during one of our Overnight Festivals. Individual overnight visits are available on Thursday nights only.
3. Register to take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). Registration information is online at www.ssat.org. Our SSAT Code number is 3250. Other testing such as the ISEE, the PSAT, the TOEFL, or the SLEP will be considered. If the applicant has had an individualized education evaluation such as the WISC or the Woodcock Johnson within the past year, that testing must be submitted for the application. The Admission Office may also require additional testing.
4. Distribute the School Report, Transcript Release, and Math and English teacher recommendation forms and ask that they be returned directly to Foxcroft before February 15. The official transcript should include first and/or second marking period or trimester grades for your current year as well as at least one previous year.
We will let you know as your application materials arrive and when your application is complete. Letters of decision will be mailed on March 10, and your reply is expected by April 10. If you are awarded financial aid, your reply is expected by March 31.
Applications received after February 15 are considered on a rolling admission basis. As soon as your file is complete, the Admission Committee reviews it and Foxcroft's Admission Office will notify you. Accepted students have two weeks to confirm, in writing, their intention to enroll. Please contact Foxcroft if you have any questions or would like more information.
