Interim
The Interim Term takes place for two weeks during the second semester and grew out of the School's commitment to develop in students an understanding of larger issues that affect their lives. Interim Terms focus on academic, political, and social exploration of such topics as:

2007: The Game of Life: It's Your Move.
2006: Southeast Asia: Tradition, Tragedy and Change.
2005: Living in Balance: Personal Choices, Global Effects.
2004: American Origins: Tracing Our Roots, Growing Our Future.
2003: Twixt Twelve and Twenty: 21st Century Teens.
2002: Going to Extremes: Antarctica, the Arctic, and Beyond.
2001: Mother Earth & Father Time: Sustaining Life on a Prospering Planet.
The Paul K. Bergan Poetry Festival
Named in honor of former English teacher Paul Bergan, the Poetry Festival brings established poets to campus to read, to discuss writing with students, and to critique student writing. Recent Poets-In-Residence have included: Donna E.M. Denizé, Joel Dias Porter (aka DJ Renegade), Grace Cavalieri and Geraldine Connolly, Sami Miranda, and performance poets Jason LeVasseur, E. Ethelbert Miller, Nan Fry, and Hilary Tham.
Goodyear Fellows Program
The Alison Harrison Goodyear Fellowship Program, a two- or three-day residence program, brings our girls together in discussions and seminars with women and men who have achieved renown in the fields of the arts, humanities, science, or public affairs. The Goodyear Fellows have included Stacy Allison, Maya Angelou, Antonio Brico, J. Carter Brown, Andrei Codrescu, Jean-Michel Cousteau, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Richard Leakey, Leon Lederman, David McCullough, Aimee Mullins, Robin Raskin, Sally Ride, Jean Kilbourne, Mary Pipher and Barbara Walters.
Helen Cudahy Niblack '42 Lecture Series
Established by Austi Brown ’73 in honor of her mother, Helen Cudahy Niblack, Class of 1942, the Niblack Lecture Series seeks to bring a variety of literary, performing and fine artists, artisans and designers to Foxcroft to share their work and experience while engaging the School in the creative process. The inaugural performer, who visited in April 2007, was Chan Harris, veteran Broadway and international actor, singer and director.
