Tradition is a living presence at Foxcroft emanating from our deepest values.
From a girl's first day here, she is drawn in by traditions of warmth and openness, an appreciation of joy and exuberance, and expectations of strong moral character and service to others. Generations of Foxcroft students have flourished in this environment.
At its heart, tradition here is a way of appreciating the true strength of young women that reaches all the way back to the earliest days of the School when Charlotte Haxall Noland opened Foxcroft based on the belief that young women could be so much more than people believed. The Fox/Hound tradition especially gives every student an immediate sense of belonging and creates strong bonds across generations of students and alumnae.
Taken together, these things speak of a School that has been preparing young women to lead full, joyful, and productive lives since 1914.
