The building is expected to be one of the showcase buildings of western Loudoun County and, with versatile spaces that can host a variety of events, will benefit the surrounding area. Already, Summer's Here at Foxcroft, the School's summer camp, and other visiting groups have enjoyed the space, even as finishing touches -- from the creation of an outdoor courtyard to installation of cabinets and decorative touches -- have been made.
When Foxcroft girls begin arriving on August 25, though, the profound and widespread impact of the building will add to the spirit-filled atmosphere of a new year. "The Athletic/Student Center promises to be not only an outstanding home for Foxcroft sports and splendid multi-purpose activity venue," said Assistant Head of School Sheila McKibbin, "but it will no doubt become a favorite 'place to be' and an important center of the School life."
